Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are my chances of playing baseball for the upcoming season?

The Savannah Adult Baseball League is always looking new  players to create new teams and/or fill out the rosters of our current teams. If you are interested in joining the league, we encourage you to fill out our New Player Interest Form as soon as possible.

From there, your chances of joining a team are greatly improved if you are prompt in responding to league officials and team managers who are making an effort to reach out to you.

2. When can I expect to hear something about playing baseball after I submit the New Player Interest Form?

All prospective players submitting a New Player Interest Form will be contacted by a league representative within 2-3 business days. If this does not occur, please contact the President, Secretary,  and/or your prospective League Commissioner to inquire about the status of your request.

Teams typically begin forming in January to provide enough time to get players registered, order uniforms/equipment, and arrange team practices.

All new players searching for a team will be entered into the Free Agent Draft Pool and receive invitation to an upcoming new player workout where they can meet other players, league representatives, and team managers before being placed on an existing roster.

Teams with open roster spots and/or personnel needs will be given preference in drafting new players to ensure fairness and improve competitiveness across the league.
